Deepen Your Knowledge about
Wellness-Centered Living
The Giving Well
is a wellness education company and online community dedicated to helping individuals attain and sustain their personal wellness using a biopsychosocial model. We interweave multi-cultural values and Filipino customs, encourage curiosity, and offer opportunities for you to proactively pursue lifestyle choices that lead to a state of robust wellness. You can engage in ten wellness dimensions through our collection of workshops and library of activities to expand your self-awareness, manage life stress and burnout, and cultivate kind relationships with yourself and others in any phase of your life. Similar to a community water well, you can draw from the depth of our social resources while giving back through sharing your stories and imparting your knowledge. All are encouraged to partake of the well and give back to it at their own choosing.
The Giving Well believes there to be ten dimensions, or slices, that make up wellness health and are common across individuals, communities and cultures.
Each month we focus on one dimension and its intersections with the other nine to help you care for yourself while discovering how these dimensions reveal parts of your identity.

Culture
The Importance of Storytelling
Kwentuhan in Tagalog, a major language in the Philippines, means ‘storytelling’, ‘to tell a story to someone’ and to have a ‘back and forth conversation’.
Kwentuhan is an intentional act of sharing with others to create attachments and belonging. Filipinos have said to one another in various ways, “Mag kwentuhan tayo”. Let’s chit chat. It’s an invitation, and one that can be easily accepted.
We use the idea of kwentuhan to reflect and impart on one another our experiences of being human. The telling of our individual narratives allows those separated among a diaspora to come together.
This open invitation allows you to engage in personal stories within a welcoming space. A collection of lives lived and wisdom gained.
